UBC Extended Learning Centre for Equitable Systems Design is situated on the traditional, unceded territory of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh Peoples. These lands have always been a place of learning for Indigenous people, who for millennia have passed on their culture, history and traditions from one generation to the next on this site. Through our programs and courses, we commit to the ongoing reflection and actions required to decolonize our organizational systems and practices.

The UBC Extended Learning Centre for Equitable Systems Design (CESD) can help individuals and organizations transform their equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) goals into action. We offer unique, robust, laddered educational packages for individuals and organizations who are committed to anti-racism and EDI.

Our offerings

Courses 
Online courses in equity, diversity and inclusion, anti-racism and intercultural studies.

Certificates & Micro-certificates 
Online certificates and micro-certificates in anti-racism, intercultural studies and equity, diversity and inclusion.

Associateship program 
An associateship in EDI which is an experiential learning leadership program for graduates of the above online programs.

Equitable Systems Design program 
The Equitable Systems Design program is an applied and participatory micro-certificate program to implement EDI strategies within workplaces.
