Chinese reading and writing

The Chinese writing system can be traced back thousands of years. Learning to read and write in Chinese not only connects you to this rich history, but it can also provide cultural context for the language in its current state and help you increase your fluency.

Our interactive courses are taught by professionally trained, native-speaking instructors and designed to expand your vocabulary, help you develop your writing style and gain confidence to put your learning into practice. Through reading and writing exercises, you can expect to learn up to 500 simplified characters along with traditional characters for use at home, in your work or travelling abroad.

Courses may be taken individually or combined with Mandarin conversation courses to complete a credential.
